I just saw this today, good film. Lots of things starting to fall into place now about the next films.
But there a few things I was particually pleased/annoyed with:
Good-
Jar Jar binks had very little to say and was actually quite... normal
Good special effects, some really good scenes.
Bad-
When senator bird falls out of spaceship, she is groaning in agony. As soon as she is asked if she is ok, she replies, 'I'm fine', jumps to her feet and skips off!
I'm not gonna comment too much on the Yoda scene apart from, 'I thought he was crippled!'
People brought their 4 year old son too see it. All the way through the film he was talking, including some good questions to his parents like, "Whos the person with the red stick?"
I tried not to ruin the film by pointing all the stuff I liked out.
And if anybody replies to this, don't ruin it for other people. It would really annoy me if somebody told me that it ends with....

Can't wait to see Episode II, it should redeem the failure that was Episode I.

I might see it, not sure yet.
I saw the very first screening at my local cinema and wasn't that impressed. Have a look at the mammoth review I did in the Movies forum, titled 'Not that long ago, in a cinema not that far away' for the full lowdown on the opinion of a monkey.
