I hope someone can enlighten me. Can I play US/Canadian games on a UK XBOX? What would I need? How about peripherals remote etc. The reason I ask is there's some pretty cheap stuff.

The only way to play American games is to buy an American console. At the moment there is no after market device that will allow American or Japanese games to be played on a Uk Xbox.
