I've done it, just finished first year computer games technology, and I'm chuffed.

Summer holiday all the way through to September 23rd, or something like that. I know your jealous, calm down.

Winm :-)
There is no time for sleep when drinking is involved. You just stop functioning for a while.

I believe the dictionary definition of the word "chuffed" is to be sexually aroused.

Is games tech THAT good?

The course is all about learning the programming, mathematics and physics required to make computer games in 2 and 3 dimensions.

It's good, but if your looking to sit on your bum all day and play games, your mistaken. There is a games library though, and apparently it was the first degree of it's kind in the Europe. The hardware for console programming was supplied by Sony themselves, and there are opportunities for students to carry out work experience in Japan if they aquire the appropriate qualifications in language and programming skills.

So far we have covered Flash, HTML, C/C++, Advanced Mathematics, Dynamics, Japanese, Introduction to audio, Computer Organisation, and 3D modelling. Thse are the ten first year modules, hopefully I passed them all and I can get onto some of the really good stuff in my second year.
