Well, with the release of the next generation of game consoles the world is in for a treat. But i found myself asking when will it all end? When will companies like Sony and Sega stop producing consoles? They're all nice and neat promising better graphics and better sound but is there a limit on how powerful a console can be? Microsoft reckon that they will have a 10MB Processor in the year 2010, they already have the 1MB Processor now. How many new ideas can be generated for computer games? How many times can there be "a better" flight simulator? How many times can the football management game be re-shaped and re-formed? The majority of games released now a days are either clones of other games or games that have stolen or "borrowed" ideas of other games. Will there be a point when people say "i'm bored of computers and computer games i'd rather do something else?" Sadly i don't think so, not for a while anyway. I think if the games/computer industry is going to be kept a float then a new revolutionary idea will be needed because its all getting "samey" Consoles are pretty much the same apart from the brand name, the games available and one is slightly better that the other. Pc's are also getting more powerful than needed but they still can't be made so they are easier to handle and control. What will it be like in 10, 20 maybe 50 years time? Have fast will the processors be? What console will Sony have and what will it be called? Right, i've had my little rant, i'm going to lie down now!

What amazes me is how they call their consoles! Nintendo Entertainment system, sounds catchy doesn't it, Mega Sega, pretty cool name, Playstation, sounds like something out of a p*** film.
How weird can names get, and how powerful can they get. Game Cube? A game cubed console, Dreamcast, sounds a bit like a daydream.

I think console names have to be catchy to get people to buy it, that's how the playstion 2 is getting a big response not only of it's power and DVD's. When will they reach the peak of power or will it keep on going until it blows up the whole country.

After saying all this don't try anything that you don't know will work, it may blow Japan into pieces if you try a 1000 million mhz PC!

Over the years I've become very jaded after many bad experiences with customer services, you have bucked the trend. Polite and efficient from the Freeola team, well done to all involved.
