The "General Games Chat" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
Even the British National Party has managed three local seats, and the rise of the right wing Leefbaar Nederland party in the Netherlands has got much public attention especially since the leader Pim Fortuyn’s death.
Special Reserve chat forum posters must now be aware of a rise in the far right in the next Notable elections. Several newbies candidates with radical beliefs in Spamism (poor quality work to get post counts up) and Gadism (all games shall be shared equal) are feared to get at least a few of the results, maybe even enough to win the elections and get notable status.
For example, right wing newbie Phil Gash, has shocked more conservative candidates with his beliefs in Gadism, and how everyone who hasn’t won yet should get a game, as long as they provide good reasons such as “I live in Aberdeen” or “I am a student”.
Notable candidate Stryke, earlier today expressed his hatred of the far right in a press conference, in which he denounced Newbism. The notable candidate is well known for his anti-newbie views; in one pre-election speech he claimed that if he were to be elected “he would ban all newbies from the government”.
Stryke’s controversial speech in the conference created out roar among several newbie candidates, one of which, a former right winger with slightly more conservative ideas, MoJoJoJo ended up hitting Stryke over the head with a chair. Another newbie candidate warned Stryke “You have no idea about the power of the right side! I have friends at school who will vote in droves for me!” However, Mystique the only female candidate calmed the situation with some dirty sexual related talk.
The rise of the far right has worried conservative notables, including the most recent notable, Your Honour. He expressed his fears that some newbies may have been planning to get a candidate to win the election, by giving themselves enough time for them to be eligible to vote and to put a candidate in the running. “If there is enough newbies who have plotted to give support to one candidate, the next election could be a disaster.”
One voter, Hercules talked of his love for candidate MoJoJoJo. “He writes excellent spoofs and you just gotta vote for him.” When asked whether another forum user, who had been present on the forums for much longer, would be more suitable for the position of notable, Hercules claimed “No.” then ran off.
