Mark Hughes has been released from his Blackburn Rovers contract. Sadly, it looks as though he will hang up his boots on an illustrious career in which he has played for Wales, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Also goodbye to another of the games greats and most loved, Matt Le Tissier.

Le Tissier was a model Pro. As Terry Venables said "No one ever had a bad thing to say about Matt."

Long live Le God.

Yeah - Hughes was a great player!

As for Le Tissier, he was something of a legend! He will be missed - Remember the goal of the season he got for his cracker against Blackburn in 1995!

Whoa, slow down, he's only 33. There may not even be a Southampton football team or ground by then.

It'll be sad to see 'Old Sparky' finally call it a day.
I'll never forget what he did for Man United, excpet that Charity Shield goal he scored against us for Chelsea about 4 years ago.

I've said before that Le Tissier will be strongly missed.
Maybe he'll be burried under the Saints' stadium when he dies???

What a great Player Sparky was...

I used to love watching him in the red shirt of United, his very Presence should to be enough to scare anyone, very strong agile and skillful.

I think he still has a year left in him and the Likes of Birmingham, Ipswitch or West brom should be snapping him up without thinking twice..

He can lead from the front or midfield and help any team.

Hopefully he is given a chance, he has done very well both managing Wales + Playing aswell.
