The decision follows Sunday's controversial finish to the Austrian Grand Prix.
The race ended in farce as Schumacher triumphed after team-mate Barrichello was denied a deserved win when ordered to move over just metres from the chequered flag.
The 33-year-old then allowed Barrichello to step on to the victory podium and keep the winner's trophy after benefiting from team orders for the second year running in Austria.
The FIA, the sport's world governing body, look to have responded to calls for an investigation into the result which brought almost universal condemnation from rival bosses.
A statement on the FIA's official website said: "Following (i) an incident during the last lap of the 2002 Austrian Grand Prix and (ii) incidents during the subsequent podium procedure, the FIA has summoned the Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro and the drivers Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello to appear before the World Motor Sports Council at its next meeting, which will be held in Paris on 26 June 2002."
I belive he said of his teams strategy: "Would you call that racing? That wasn't racing". but he said this as if it was something to be proud of.
What? Did I miss something? Isn't that what Motor Sport is about? Jean Todt deserves to be SEVERELY repremanded for his actions and his attitude. F1 is in enough of a shambles without that sort of contribution.
Come on FIA do it for the sport.
