I hope that you all have your eyes firmly focused on the US in anticipation of the torrent of info unleashed by the US release. I have!!!
I am expecting a tidal wave of reviews and information once the machine hits their shores. I would obviously prefer it if it was our release date as well!! but you cant have everything.
The versions of software that they receive should be much closer to our builds (if not identical) than the Japanese ones so the reviews will be more relevant (that is except for any on football or american football/baseball/ice hockey).
A month today we should receive our machines!!! (assuming that the rumours Kieran has heard are unfounded, which I assume they are otherwise they will start to be broadcast a lot louder soon).

I've just been flicking around some of the PS2 sites, and i was staggered to actually see how lucky we are. At some retailers, who started taking orders in JANUARY, even if you ordered on the 7th SEPT you will probably not even get a console before the new year!
Companies were taking pre-orders even before they knew the size of their allocation! Christ, i am out in the sticks here in north Wales.
But being here is not a bad thing either, the Woolies branch where i pre-ordered (which is itself 30 miles away) didn't sell out of their allocation until the 15th.
