I know most of you people are good at writing stories so I thought you would know a bit about writing techniques used by authors.
I don't remember learning this in English and my exam is coming up and I need to know a few basics... so please tell.
Thinks like enjambment and jargon... I know what they mean but stuff like that.
Thanks
P.S they did give us a book but thought it would be smart to take them in yesterday even thought the exam is coming up and I was planning to look over it... I complained and got sent to head teacher of English
:P
No fear I rule now.
Thanks a lot :)
I'm off to learn it... there's a thing I think once your paper has been marked a photocopy or something should be made and sent to the pupil. Just for peace of mind to make sure the marking is right and things... and if there is a massive problem they check real paper and change it.
I think it's disgraceful some teacher on their summer holiday marks your paper miles away and you'll never see it... all the time you study and some git might just put any mark because they want to go to bed.
Especially after all that chaous a few years ago... it sucks.
Thanks again :D

Go forth and spout literary critical terms with the best of them..
...but be warned, some examiners get annoyed if they think people are trying to catch them out. My English teacher knows of one examiner who was severely reprimanded for writing in his report "It's bad enough these private school pupils thinking they know everything, now they're making up words too", and he was referring to "hyperbole", a very real word.
Use your literary criticism terms with caution.
For my writing essay get this:
45 minutes
800 words
On a question I won't see until exam hall
The question might be hard and not fit what I studied
I need to memeorise a whole poem and story and quotes
Education? Judges my Intelligence? MY ARSEz!
Ohhhh! Ahhhh! Eeeee!
*Gets a slap*
