So, around chritsmas everyone was getting all exited about the PS2 Harddrive / Modem thingy which was set to launch the same time as FFX.

And, erm, where the hell is it?
I've not heard anything for months.
Has it been scrapped? Set back? Forgotten? Huh? Huh?

Does anyone know anything?

Or was it all some crazy dream.........

I read in OPSM2 that you will be able to use your existing ISP with the PS2 meaning i will probably buy it now as then i can use my Freeserve Anytime.

*clicks fingers*

Incorrect. They are going to release a kit which includes a 2.2 Linux kernel, developing tools and other gubbins, which also includes the HDD & Broadband Adaptor.

Secondly, Linux is not aa GUI! It's far, far more that that, it's a whole funning OS! Linux doesn't really have a GUI. it's more like super-powered up DOS with a nitro-injected steroid enhanced overdrive. Basially, it's very powerful. It also has a GUE (environment) like Windows, which rules. I'm using it right now, it's much faster, better looking and powerful than any Windows OS made, and probably better than OSX too.

I'm not bothering with the HDD, it is almost 2 years since the PS2 was released, bit late and too pricey ;-)

Last thing I read about the PS2 hard drive (either in PS2, OPSM2 or Edge), was that it was currently running off the production line in Japan for Final Fantasy XI beta testers. That was about 2 months ago.
