I was just wondering if any of you have run into any problems using a non-official type of memory card on your Gamecube?

I have been a bit worried about buying away from the official cards ever since my friend couldn't save some games onto his PS2 non-official card. i was just wondering if any cards do the same for the Gamecube or if they are all reliable.

There is a Gamester one which is 8mb instead of 4 and so that would be the best card to buy. But will it actually work?

Tell me about your expriences...

I got a 4mb free with my Cube and it's worked fine, I wanna get one of those 64mb cards from play.com that should last me forever.

So at the moment all the non-official cards look safe. That means I can get myself a 8mb one :-)

I have a un-official memory card. It's about 59 blocks and so far it is working fine.

Well, I got a 4mb unofficial one with my Cube (Damn you SR, changing the deal... Mpmmmph) Anyway, it's bigger than the official one and looks a little ugly, but I've had no problems at all. Very reliable in my experience.
