Formats are generally judged by the software available for them anyway.
I mean, look at the DreamCast, that could never be accused of being a "crap" console, but there was little worth buying it for, so it flopped.
The same can be said of a PC though. It's all very well having a 2ghz processor with a Gig of RAM, 200GB hdd and a spanking, top of the line GeForce 4, if there is no software available that can take advantage of your excessive specs.
sure, your formate has the potential for spanking graphics, but someone has to take advantage of that potential for your boasts to be noticed. And even then, just because you have a game that can stretch your machine to the limits, it doesn't mean it's a good game, it's just a pretty one.
