Also, if you put it near the end of your page, then the rest of the content will have loaded before the sound, so the users can be reading the page whilst waiting for the midi to load.

Staying on the subject, I can put a sound into the background of my page using . What I want is a long piece of music, about 5 minutes long, but IE won't play anything in the BGSOUND if it is longer than 3 minutes.

How can I extend the playing time?

I hear MP3 and midi files with Mozilla...

from what i can remeber is only specific to IE4+ ans is an MS derived tag... If your using DW, go to the DW exchange and download the Betnik studio for DW, this will solve all your problems.
