I made a song a little while ago on my acoustic guitar (not very good at guitar but I try) and I just managed to put a MP3/QUICKTIME/WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER file onto the web very quickly as I want opinions.

It's not a final thing, the ending is TOTALLY wrong and some other bits are too. It's just something I put together quickly and its very basic, but I want you to listen and give me what you think on this rough version. I think I posted the lyrics in the 'Your Words' topic in the music forum a while back at the start of thread.

don't know if it will work but it works for me if I press 'no' when a option window comes up at the start then it just downloads in Quicktime.

I listened to it, well not all of it as I got board waiting for the download to finish (and you said you did it wrong at the end anyway :0))

It was quite good actually, you certainly hit those strings in places, but that's for effect right.

Thing is it slowed down near the start and stopped, no offence (because I'm no better on my guitar) but I didn't like that bit, it didn't "go". Sorry. You want honest opinions though right?

I'll have a read through the lyrics on your other topic later, othwerwise I honestly did quite like it.

Sorry MWA, us 56k'ers can't be chuffed to download a 3+meg file, it'd take an age.

No special microphone, just a creative one. I want to get a better one.

I used the creative recorder to record it quickly but I could of used something like Quartz as a multitrack so the whole thing would be a bit more better by me concentrating on the guitar playing and singing seperatly. Also I could fiddle with the volume etc.

To change to MP3 I just used something I downloaded off download.com, simple heh. Mpeg Suite or something. Quality was quite good though.

I have Broadband, it was download as soon as you posted the link :D wellmaybe a little after, it sounds very good :) what microphone you got? + what program did youuse to save as a .mp3? my *cough*ware ran out :(

I'll let you have the rights to that, for a start I can't draw.
