No idea why i came here, i havn't read his entry, but when I won my first game i hadn't ried to win it, it was something dumb I said off the top of my head, i think they like that, if it flows easily they enjoy reading it, then your more likely to win. no idea if that works, but it doesn't hurt to try, and stop the bad attitude sheepy, you havn't been here all that long, there are more people here than you think.

The environment in which we play games is an important factor! I know the problems of having a wife that isn't into all of the games I like to play. Here's a tip. Find a game that she'll like, then you might find something you can play together. I've been playing Civilisation with my wife lately, and it's been fun.

I agree! After I had won the first time I started to write just for fun. I was partly obsessed with winning before I won but no I just use this board for fun! That's why I was so shocked to win a second time!
Anyway, people are getting too jealous of winners! I agree that that cheater was wrong and he shouldn't have done what he did but you can't say things like "My topic was much better than that one" because you are not the judge of this competition. The person who judges it looks for original ideas or messages that have true meaning etc. If the same thing is posted over and over again in different wordings than you probably wont win.
MY advice would be to think of things which affect you personally or think of new game ideas. OR go submit some cheats and reviews!
Just don't give anyone a hard time just because they won unless they do deserve it like that cheater.....because if you win maybe people will say the same things about you!
I went on a bit about people winning as soon as they registered and that was true and I got a lot of support from that. In fact some of the winners had put 3 lines of rubbish that have no relevance to games. You can campaign but still the Judges decision is final and I except that.
If you want to win, try following some of the guidelines above but I can't guarantee you a win. I'm just trying to help cos I'm sick of "My message is better than yours....why didn't I win....."

My wife does not hate me (well most of the time anyway)she just hates games. This is not stopping here from allowing me to shell out £400 for a PS2, a couple of games and a memory card so give her a break.
