Harmonic Motion and stuff is just A-level maths, Non-Linear integration you won't run into until you sod off to Uni.
I actually enjoyed A-Level Mechanics though. all the Circular Motion, and Projectile Motion and stuff was fun to work with.
Also doing Pure maths was cool, working out where all the basic formaulae like circle area or circumference came from, using differentiation, integration and logarithms was cool.
Bah humbug.............
Simple Harmonic Motion and Coplanar Forces are much more interesting.
At that level, pretty much everything you learn is useful later in life. All very practical. Good stuff.
Start complaining only once someone tries to explain to you the finer points of Partial Non-Linear Integration.
