Its official: "Panic Room" and "Fight Club" director David Fincher is to direct Tom Cruise in "Mission Impossible 3." However at this early stage little else about the project is confirmed as the script is still in development.
Fincher is also in discussions to direct a remake of 1975‘s "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud," which followed a young college professor who experiences flashbacks from a previous incarnation and is mysteriously drawn to the town of his "wife" from another life.

In better news, however, Dreamworks are working on a movie called 'Space Monkey'.

In better news, however, Dreamworks are working on a movie called 'Space Monkey'.
I think he could make it very good.
Okay so he makes his films a bit darker than Mission Impossible, but Mission Impossible 1 was very much story driven and far better than the action packed M:I-2.
