"Who got a launch gamecube?"

Who on this board is a proud owner of a gamecube? I am. How did you all get your grubby mitts on YOUR gamecube on launch day. I got mine very easily. Went into the shop at 11 am or so. Easy. But how about you all? Was i just fortunate?

I ordered my stuff on the Monday, and it says Rl and Burnout have been posted, even thoughRl is apparently out of stock (not that i'm complaining ;-) and the mem card is being 'processed'

hmmmmm, ye, thats always the problem with these damn unofficial products but this card does seem alright so far. Its all uncompressed memory as well. Makes you wonder how much profit ninty are making on the official card which is 16 times smaller.

Bloody hell, its the top seller at play now! They are out of stock...

Yeah I will pick one of them up, problem is with Unofficial stuff they sometimes loose ya data, and loosing 64Mb of saved games just wouldn't be funny. I've got an unofficial 4Mb card, occasionally it comes up on Rogue leader saying that it contains corrupt data and I need to format the card but if ya just press retry it works fine, I nearly cryed the first time that happened I thought i'd have to start again.

Play would be the best place in the world if they could get stuf to ya on launch day...Ordered Tony Hawks 3 and Sonic ages ago but didnt get them till Tuesday. But yeh, cant argue with them at that price...

That 4Megabit memory card aint gonna last too long.

Sure games such as Luigi and Monkey ball only use 3 blocks but apparently some games can take up the whole memory card. Tony Hawks uses 8...then more if you create your own park.

Get yourself the datel 64megabit one :)

Got it from Toy'r'us, it's only a 4mb Memory card but as far as I can see that should be plenty, most games only take up about 4 pages/blocks.

How quickly from the post date do Play get the products to you?

At those porices i don't really care!

I got my 64 meg memory card from Play. Cheap and hopefully efficient. Otherwise I'll say "Oh fooey, I burned the darn muffin." Or words to that effect...

I am (everything crossed) getting one tomorrow, and Burnout, Rogue Leader and one of those 64mbit cards from Play.com.
