The "Freeola Customer Forum" forum, which includes Retro Game Reviews, has been archived and is now read-only. You cannot post here or create a new thread or review on this forum.
I've been looking at new sites that have been created where the owner has left the Freeola footer in place - new sites are appearing in Google on a regular basis.
Some webmasters can struggle to get in the Google index; I'm assuming some (most) of these sites have been written by people very new to web design and haven't gone to any trouble to submit their site to Search Engines or understand the process - so this looks pretty encouraging.
Microsoft Search is also picking up these sites but not as quick as Google from what I've been looking at.
I even found the Freeola Staff Christmas party photos - my invite must have got lost in the post ;¬)
For any newbie web designers reading this, what I've noticed is many 'new' webmasters are still failing to resize their photos before using them on their website. Even on a broadband connection if you put a 2mb photo from your digital camera straight into your website it will take a few moments to load. If the final image is only being displayed as a small image on the page the quality will also look bad.
A while back I posted this thread about website images which may help some people.
When I get a chance I'll try creating my own "Instant Site" which comes free with my Freeola broadband connection.
That's all for now...

In theory you could be a little lazy if you wish to use nicely reside image in your non gallery pages. Simply upload the images you wish to use in your pages to your Image Archive (button on the overview page). This uses the same upload utility as the gallery pages so you will get good resized images with little loss of quality.
