Perhaps I'm very poor, but £450 won't have "little effect" on my balance. Think what else I could buy for that money. Any of the current Games Consoles, and lots of games. A musical instrument. A new TV. A DVD-player. Something for the garden / house / kitchen. 60 memberships to Special Reserve. Glug.
In other words, an awful lot more than a different set of numbers on the side of the car. Aren't personalised numberplates just there to say "I can afford to waste my money on this - look at me!"?
Seriously, if anyone can find a reason why I should care what numberplate goes on my car, I would love to hear from them. I get the feeling that I must have accidently ticked the "£100 000 or above" box for annual salary on one of those questionnaires, because anyone who knows me at all knows that £450 does an awful lot to my bank balance.
So, much as I regret it (?), I'm not quite ready for this "luxury" yet. I'd prefer a GameCube. In fact, I'd prefer anything. Particularly since I'm 15 and don't own a car. As it happens, I was also offered a credit card last week. I don't think that I would have been accepted though, someone.
Some people are crazy!
See Ya ;-)
