I have in front of me a letter "informing" us that we can acquire an "exclusive" personalised numberplate (in our initials). This "once in a lifetime opportunity" can "be yours for just £320". Plus VAT. Plus £80 fee. That comes to a grand total of more than £450, which will, of course, "have little effect on your bank balance". Which account are they talking about here?

Perhaps I'm very poor, but £450 won't have "little effect" on my balance. Think what else I could buy for that money. Any of the current Games Consoles, and lots of games. A musical instrument. A new TV. A DVD-player. Something for the garden / house / kitchen. 60 memberships to Special Reserve. Glug.

In other words, an awful lot more than a different set of numbers on the side of the car. Aren't personalised numberplates just there to say "I can afford to waste my money on this - look at me!"?

Seriously, if anyone can find a reason why I should care what numberplate goes on my car, I would love to hear from them. I get the feeling that I must have accidently ticked the "£100 000 or above" box for annual salary on one of those questionnaires, because anyone who knows me at all knows that £450 does an awful lot to my bank balance.

So, much as I regret it (?), I'm not quite ready for this "luxury" yet. I'd prefer a GameCube. In fact, I'd prefer anything. Particularly since I'm 15 and don't own a car. As it happens, I was also offered a credit card last week. I don't think that I would have been accepted though, someone.

Some people are crazy!

See Ya ;-)

I get crap like that though my door all the time, and in my Hotmail junk folder. It's just a cheap scam to nick your money.

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Many thanks!
You were 100% right - great support!
