GM: "Got any new ideas for wacky controllers like the Samba maracas??"
Yuji Naka: "I've just developed the GC controller with built-in keyboard, which was copied for Final Fantasy. I hope i'll get new ideas but I don't have any just yet."
Interesting eh??What exactly do you think he means by giving the Cube's pad a built-in Keyboard?? Will this make the tiny pad much bigger?? Or is it nothing to do with sticking a load of keys onto the pad at all???
And how will this be used in the Final Fantsay GC game(s)?
It's great to have a man with such unique and innovative designs - like Sonic the Hedgehog and the Maracas - so surely there's no way we'll ever have problems controlling GameCube games again! :D *HURR-AH*
So what if he's out of ideas right now. All we have to do is write to him and tell him what's wrong with what games - like an Agony Aunt! :)
Either way, it's good to see he's on our side! :D

But I see what you mean about it being a stretched version of the Cube's original pad.

The Keyboard pad idea has been about for a while now, there some pic of it somwhere.
It's just a keyboard with the GC pad parts on either side, just think of your GC pad now streched right out split in the middle and keyboard in the place.
Your hands therfore holding either side of th keyboard to use the pad parts, see?
