Agame can be the most beautiful creation on this earth but if it is lacking in the sound department then it is no use to me.Music puts the fear inside us when playing games such as the resident evil series or the heart beating momments when you are being tracked down by guards in Metal Gear Solid. You play a game and see how it plays when the mute button is in use,to say it is dull is an understatement,The best in game music I have heard is Ferrari F355 Challenge, though i am not a fan of Heavy Metal music, but in this case suits this game down to a tee,and is excellent ans really gets the blood pumping as you take a super car round a bends.Other top games include Zelda, anyone remmember when the Deku Tree died it was peaceful and sad music that played the tree out,There are many more games that live for the music because it spicens them up and adds extra energy nedde.Games with poor music find it hard to create any emotions in games, that is why some games dissapoint. The future should be about creating emotions and to let you live the dream and music helps videogames achive this goal.

Best music in a game has to be Codemasters classic Music2000!
Sometimes though it's good just to turn the volume down/off and listen to the stereo/mate who's a Dj particularly with fighting or driving games.

I think the music to MTV Sports Snowboarding is good. I know it's just a load of songs strung together, but it gets you in the mood for playing that game. I mean, if you were playing Zelda listening to Blink 182, that wouldn't be the right music, would it? Or am I wrong? Does anyone here listen to Blink 182 whilst playing Zelda?

It's like I can't type and listen to music at the same time. I end up writing the song lyrics down!

I believe Shenmue has a very good soundtrack. Deus Ex's was good, as was X-Wing Alliance and Jedi Knight.

Whats that game. You know the one. Arghh. Brain! Whats that game?

(Little more information please.)

On the N64, shooter, by Rare.

(Jet Force Gemini.)

Ah yes. Great music in that as well.
