I've just heard on Sky Sports News ,that Lee Bowyer says that he hasn't been picked for the England squad,because the selecters are too scared.

Bowyer is just telling it like it is.
He is easily good enough to get into the England side, and England could use another tough guy like him. Especially since Gerrard is injury prone. Bowyer also gets quite a few goals from midfield.

They'd only be scared because of all the problems he could cause them during the night-time in Japan and South Korea.
You know what he and Woodgate were like in Leeds, and they somehow got away with it! But who's to say he'd stay clear of mischief this time, especially with the hot temperatures over there in the evenings!!
He's also lost a lot of respect for that previous incident, and that's another reason why Eriksson won't add him to the squad. He just woudn't get the same respect and treatment as the other players, even if he did win us the World Cup by scoring all 10 goals in an incredible 10-0 win over Germany in the final!

That may still be true, but you also have to be good off the pitch to gain the recognition you feel you deserve! And he isn't.
