Nintendo just became the majority share owner in Retro {the makers of Metroid}. Nintendo did this because they are impressed with the work they are doing on Metroid. If Nintendo are impressed then this game must be good! I can't wait to play it!

It's still not looking "Metroid" enough for me to be really excited.
It it'll stil probably be a good game, just not the "Super Metroid in 3D" I wanted.
Having said that, the fact that Nintendo said it was good might not hold much ground. Nintendo aren't exactly pro's when it comes to FPS games.
It's not their field of expertise...

Went to Spain for 2 weeks with ma Girlfriend and before that I just wasn't getting on much.

Retro were in trouble with nintendo a while back, because they weren't making enough progress. Nintendo forced them to can a few of the projects they were working on (raven blade) so they could concentrate on metroid.
It has taken them long enough, i'm not surprised they have finally impressed nintendo.
I dont think I will buy it though. I dont really like FPS. I prefer 3rd Person games, like zelda, although I do have goldeneye and PD (because they rule).
I would probably only buy it if it has a good multiplayer.
