Is anyone else really looking forward to the XBox's first RPG, Morrowind? It is going to be something quite amazing, truly open ended and explorable. Anyone know what the release date of Morrowind is in the UK? Can't wait!

It's Grand Theft Auto 3 with a sword.

Is how I've heard it described, and if that's true, then I'll get hours and hours of fun out of it.

There's a preview of it over at www.xboxrules.com that sums the game up quite nicely for any of you who are unsure.

Morrowind is a massive RPG. As well as the Final Fantasy-esque linear plot, which is undoubtedly amazing, it mainly revolves around exploration and character development. It has absolutely loads of Zelda-ish sub quests, and I mean absolutely loads. No two games will therefore be the same. This, on paper, is the game of my dreams people.

This may be a pretty stupid question... but what is Morrowind?

Does it have huge landscapes etc? Any information would be appreciated.

Please don't say "you have the worlds best search engin..." :-S

It's looking very good indeed, and by all accounts it's supposed to be huge.

I'll wait to see what the reviews say. From the looks of it it does look like it will be a great game.

It's out on PC as well, but I'll get the Xbox version. Not sure when it's out, but I'm going to get it whatever.

I've read a bit about Morrowind and it sounds amazing.

I'll definately be buying Morrowind.

Its out in America at the end of May. So we maybe lucky with a June release.
