Just got an information from SR which has the following shocking information on:

---------------------

MICROSOFT IN SHOCK NINTENDO BUY-OUT OFFER! NO, REALLY!
The new book, Opening the Xbox: Inside Microsoft's Plan to Unleash an
Entertainment Revolution, has some pretty staggering revelations about
Microsoft's console division, but perhaps none more amazing than this. Way
back in early '99, Microsoft apparently made an attempt to buy the entire
Nintendo corporation for a neat $25 billion dollars, a figure that would
make even Dr Evil blush.

So, what's the full story?

-----------------------
does anyone else have any further information on this?

I don't know if I believe it, but coming from SR, there must be some truth in it shouldn't there?

Microsoft tried to buy both nintendo and sega, but both companies refused. BG shouldn't be so lazy and make his own franchises instead of trying to throw a load of money at companies and expect some kind of result.

I know as much as you know. Microsoft and Bill Gates are so rich though that they could probably buy out Nintendo with the cash Bill keeps in his wallet!
