I have so far failed to grasp MYSQL, I asked my brother ( who has far greater knowledge than me) to see if he could get it working. He also says it is too complex and it should be made clearer and easier! He sent me a flat file script to use instead.

Pity Freeola wont let you just do 1 month trial, you have to pay three months up front !!

I wont bother with MYSQL, I will go back to flat files,or might just wait for the new hosted forums. !!!!!!!!!!

It's actually pretty straightforward to configure most php scripts that require MySQL, the main thing that most people seem to get wrong is that they don't change the hostname of the MySQL server that they are using to mysql.freeola.net, instead they leave it at localhost.

Can log into, mysql.freeola.net quite easy thats not the problem. The problem is, once i am in i cant figure out how to use it!
