It would play, possibly, like the old classic Detroit (but not with cars obviously) and your company could reserach new technology for your new super console and even go as far as trying to contract developers, etc.

Basically you'd play the role of a new games console developer at the dawn of console gaming, with limited funds and resources. First off you'd have to either research your own hardware (by hiring technicians) and building your own spec, or you could buy or franchise (3DO anyone?) technology from other companies. Then onto software. You'd have to lure in other developers into developing for your new system and not your competition. Either by negotiating a loyalty contract (just like Rare to Nintendo)or giving the large ammounts of cash!!! You'd also have to develop (well, not neccesarily) your own software for your system. The third element of the game would be advertising. You'd have to budget how, where, and to what scale you'd advertise around the world, setting budgets etc. For example, you wouldn't wanna spend £10m advertising your new console in, say, the Congo and only £1m in america now would you?
This game would probably be difficult to do wouldn't it? Anyone else got any ideas for this game?
