Before a certain individual started entertaining us with his stupidity, I had started a topic about this, but it was interupted.

So here we go again.

What would really interest me, is a first person shooter on a console, that would be on all platforms. I.E. Unreal 2, perhaps.

I have a dream, where it doesn't matter what console you have, or what taste in games you have, or EVEN if you don't have enough money to get a better, more advanced console.

I have a dream, (Oh God...) when there will be no wars over the consoles, only pure fun wars, over the internet. Where there will be clans of people from Nintendo, Sony and Sega, all working in harmony.

I have a dream, when I can play any game I wish, against any foe I wish, from the comfort of my own home, and with my personally choice of console.

Capcom and Square are leading the way, it seems. I expect Infograms to do so soon as well.

Also, does anyone here have Jedi Knight?

There is a limit you can get on one screen though, before everyone becomes stamp sized.

How will the X-Box's power effect the Ps2 or Gamecube? Will there be a limit on textures for the benefit of the slower systems?

I don't think these wars will stop. IF they go and play online against each other on let's say a Unreal game, on the GC, X-Box and PS2 they will be fighting a war like before. How will games look different graphics wise with the new consoles. IF they make exact ports of games from other consoles how will they fare I wouldn't mind a large screen TV (not Widescreen) with a new console. The future of mulitplaying at home is more people around a TV or 2!
Imagine it huge Perfect Dark or a 32 people race on Sega Rally all with no slow down. I see TV's being so huge you can fit so many multiple screens on it.
The screens wouldn't be small either so it will be easy to use. Maybe their will be arcades with those separate, huge screens and their own seats and controls!
I could only imagine, what you can do in your parties. No more controller switching again ever.
