1. Keown is a master of the man marking system that Arsenal employed under Graham in early 90's.
2. Keown has bags full of experience at European and International level.
(approx 40 caps for England must be good for a defender)
3. Solid defender who despite his age is a great premiership defender. One of the last of the 'No worries defenders'
Bad Points:
1. Lacks the confidence on the ball that younger players like Campbell, Rio and Terry have.
2. Being 34ish means that he lacks the fitness of the other 1st choice defenders.
3. Can be a bit too aggressive and a bit of a nutter sometimes.
Unlike Danny Mills, he has shown on an international stage that this aggression can be put to a good use and to this day i cannot remember him being sent off.
Despite the bad points i would pick him for the squad just for his experience and presence, even if he doesn't have much time on the pitch he will help others.

i no sven likes to do that but it woulden't hurt if he played a couple of games would it now.
Sven pefers to play Campbell and Rio to, Campbell and Keown. Keown is just there for his experience and to make up the numbers.
