"So how will The Simpsons end then?"

It's gotta end soon. Even Groening admitted that it's getting more and more difficult to surprise the audiences. So what do you think - will they surprise us with a big finish, or will it be an ultra nice, ultra happy high note? Personally I think they'll take a risk and kill someone off - maybe Grampa Simpson, or Mr Burns? How do you think it should/probably will end?

It'll be another daft clip show thing.

It will be an hour long special, showing all the charecters in springfield and end with a huge sing and dance number involving everyone in the show. That or Mo could finally breack after another prank call and go on a one man killing spree. Either one would be entertaining.

i think it will end by a big character dieng or all of them.Or Mr Smithers having sex wih Mr Burns like he always wanted :P

I call for a huge September 11th climax.

there is probaly going to be a major chatrecter killed off

i think it will go out with a nice happy ending but with (as you said) a high profile character dying off maybe maggie.

the nuclear power plants gonna blow up and the whole place is gonna be wiped out

Me and my friends were digussing this at school the other day and we predict:

1) It will be a normal episode were the people of Springfield will see a supposed comet heading towards them. I know it's been done before but instead of it being a comet, it is really the ship from Futerama which crashes into the Simsons house hold killing them all. This episode will lead onto Futerama coming back aswell but now living in Springfield. Alot of ideas could come from this.

2) The Simpsons family moves to Springfield in Essex, England. They then make friends with other people. I suppose this is a way of keeping the Simpsons going but it may end up ruining the Simpsons reputation of laughter.

3) It's another normal episode but at the end, Everyone from Springfield and the Simpsons crew gavers round in a big bunch and starts to sing. The song that they will sing will be up to the viewers as there will be a vote before the episode and Matt Groening will have to do lots of quick scetching before the episode finishes.

I remember that Matt Groening said that if he made a film, he wouldn't make any more Simpsons' episodes. Either way, I'm happy that it hasn't met it's demise, as unlike many other comedy programmes (Sabrina and all that cack! ;D) it hasn't lost it's humour over it's 13-year time span. It's more witty than ever!

It should end with Smithers being killed. It will be a suprise ending but then not a huge loss to the simpsons cartoon. :D

I just heard that the rumours are false, on channel 4 Matt G said that the person who wrote down what he said misreprisented it. He isn't even planning the ending yet, so channel 4 are back in business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
