Hi guys, I don't know about you lot but I find it so annoying when I get automatically redirected to a UK version of a popular site. Tom from MySpace keeps bugging me to sign up on MySpace UK, Google wont let me register a GMAIL.com account anymore and now I find RottenTomatoes.com refuses to let me see the US version of their site.

How do I get around this? Region locking the internet just seems like a terrible idea.

Most site's region forwarding are sidestepped by using a US based proxy. But these open up a whole new load of potential problems. They are slow, many are not secure and the really good ones usually cost money to use.

Can't remember if your browser regional settings make a difference these days, but I'm inclined to think not.

Wonderful...
... and so easy-to-use even for a technophobe like me. I had my website up in a couple of hours. Thank you.
