Seeing as PHP is coming soon, I would just like to know that teh difference is between the two, and what can one do that the other can't?

I think it might be v4. What we really need to along with this is database support, such as MySQL. Please Freeola, can we have access to something like this? I'm sure you do something like this anyway with your own pages (which use php) so extending usage shouldnt be too hard...

Cheers mate, appreceate it. I have bought a book on basics PHP4, do you know if this is the version Freola will be using? (hope it is) Also, is this SSI only for cgi scripts, or for PHP scripts too?

PHP is embedded into HTML files and parsed/compiled by the server before the page is sent back to the browser. With PHP 4 you also have the advantage of built in sessions. For more info have a look at:-
