So is there anyway to stop films being shown in stretched full screen mode, and keeping them in the right aspect ratio?

Not that it bothers me too much, i'm just curious as to whether it can be changed!

Fixed it so it doesn't stretch anymore!

Take the disc out of your ps2, turn it on and look in the System Config. Change the screen size to 4:3.

If that doesn't work you will have to change the options when you are watching a DVD -

play a dvd, then stop it. Push select and it will load a menu, go to setup --> screen setup --> TV Type 4:3 Letterbox
Also in there make sure DNR is off as its pretty useless

Now everything should look as intended

I don't have a wide screen telly and i find during dvd playback the picture gets squashed to fit on the screen, it looks like little stck men wandering around, can this be sorted by changing the ratio? Also where do i change the ratio, is it a playstation setting or dvd setting - sorry for being ignorant, this is all new to me :)
