Argentina coach Marcelo Bielsa has threatened to quit his job just four weeks before the World Cup Finals.
Marcelo Bielsa claims he will resign on Wednesday unless his dispute over pay with the Argentinian Football Association is resolved.
The dispute has been running since the economic crisis in Argentina began last year, and it appears the coach of England's Group F opponents has become frustrated by the circumstances.
"I am extremely angry about the situation and I am mentally exhausted. It's dragged on far too long and the time has come to make a stand," Bielsa said.
"If the money has not been received by Wednesday, I'll resign."
It is reported Bielsa is owed £330,000 and that neither he nor his backroom staff have been paid for months.
"I'm married with a young daughter and we have had to live without a salary for seven months," Bielsa added.
"President Julio Grondona has made continuous promises to me which have never been met.
"Our efforts for World Cup glory have been undermined by the Argentinian FA and the president. Unless everything is resolved by this week, I will not be going to the World Cup finals."
Grondona to the told The News Of The World: "At the moment, we cannot pay what Bielsa is claiming."
That's good news for England, but who will win the World Cup now???
And i'm sure they'll try and get him to stay, at least untill the end of the tournament anyway! It's surely too late for someone new to come in and have a positive effect on there performaces.
I bet they'll be so desperate for a new gaffer that they'd even consider Diego Maradona for the job! - just temporarily though.
