After the kick in the knackers from Microsoft this morning (i.e. the free games list), I felt pretty down.

I went into town with my friends and found that a GAD I claimed from SR that was due out today has been put back to 17th of May. I had a couple of games reserved but was in no mood to buy them, so I cancelled them.

I then decided to give in to temptation and play Rogue Leader to cheer myself up (big Star Wars fan you see). After blowing up the Death Star and feeling a bit happier, I took my newly aquired vouchers thanks to the cancellations back to the shop and I've pre-ordered a black Gamecube with Rogue Leader and a memory card.

Hearing good things about Monkey Ball I wanted to pick that up too but I don't have enough. So I've basically sent a mail to SR hoping I can change my GAD from the delayed Crash to Monkey Ball. By the time those 2 crappy games from the list come through, Crash should be out so I can trade them in and get it that way. Thats if SR are in a good mood and don't mind me messing them about on my GAD prize.

At least next Friday is looking to better than this one. :-|

Just a little add on to this post. I'm definatly getting Rogue Leader. If SR let me change my GAD prize to Super Monkey Ball and I have the option to purchase a third game, which one would you lot recommend ?

Only want launch games or maybe any releases the following weekend put forward please cause things like Resident Evil aren't out for awhile yet. ;-)

It was kinda funny cause the guy behind the counter was like "I knew you crack eventually". ;-)

I was avoiding Rogue Leader cause I knew that one game would end up pushing me to a Gamecube. Not that the GC is bad or anything, I just didn't want to buy it for one game at the moment, but now I have the thing ordered, I'm warming to the likes of Monkey Ball and stuff.

Plus I've owned all the other Nintendo consoles so why break the chain as it were. ;-))
