"GTA3 not coming to the cube! Whos bothered? I AM!"

I've been reading nintendo official magazine. it was a back issue and i must have missed the section on gta 3. it said how that the makers have decided to pull out making it for the gamecube but they have decided to keep it in their production line for GBA! that is a real bumer! i havent yet got the game for PC cos my mum and dad dont want me taking up any more c:/ with games so i decided to wait for the game cube version! now ive discovered its not coming out for the cube and it will remain only on the PS2, pc and GBA. I am really annoyed cos Now i might have to buy a PS2 jus to get it. it has been on the top of my prioritys list for along time and now I will be unable to play it unless I buy a PS2. I dont think that the game will be any good for the GBA becasue it will probbably be one of the aerial view additions like the original was. we will have to wait and see. you never know they might just be able to get the behind car graphics on to the GBA but I highly unlike it.

I think the real reason for pulling the game out of nintendos reach is becasue once agin the old kiddie theory has creeped up on us agin. the makers have decided that the game will be more appreciated on an "adult console" such as PS2 or xbox! i reckon they took one look at the gamecubes release titles and thought I dont think were going to make as much money on here as we will on ps2. games like super monkey ball and pikmin are what have laid this heavy burden on our shoulders!

any way I am a little disapointed about this and i am sure that many of you cube fans in here are too.

does any one know if it will be coming to x box? I hope not!

Rockstar probably saw they wouldnt make as much money on a nintendo system due to the inavoidable 'kiddy image. annoyingly, if gta3 was Cube'stylized, it would probably get the kiddy image idea out of at least half the Sony+xbox population.

I heard from a friend (who had seen an article in a X box mag) that sony deliberatly get companys to sign contracts before releasing a game. The contract stops the from advertising or trying to tell the public weather or not they are porting the game to another console till a month of it`s release. So younever know :).

I guess all we can do is have a fingers crossed! if it does it does and if it dosnt then were annoyed but we wont be able to do anyhting about it. did n e 1 like the originals on the pc and ps! i thought they were cracking! even though the graphics were a bit dodgy. The gameplay was still top notch!

I think we may hear about GTA 3 on the GC at E3!

true and i never ever read anything bout them saying it never would be released instead i heard they would.

also i hate the new nintendo official magazine in some parts compared to the old one. also wheres the girls gone tims the only girl left

How old was that back issue, as a few weeks ago I heard Shigeru was back in talks with Rockstar...?

I reckon that if the GameCube proves itself to be an adult machine (tonnes of adults buy it, Resident Evil sells well) then they might have to think again.

Maybe Nintendo see GTA3 as too risky a proposition from an image point of view? No doubt it would sell by the bucketload. Not because of the controversy, but because it is an excellent game. My favourite on the PS2 in fact. Games like Resident Evil are adult and gory, but you're not really doing anything *too* controversial in the game - it's good vs evil. But in GTA3 you can run riot, pretty much how you want. It's as amoral as you want it to be.
