Back in November 2000...the 23rd to be exact I was a very excited little chappie, and one that didn’t get much sleep that night. Why? Well because the next day I would be getting a new friend who was going to come and live in my household, a new friend that could come and play games with me as much as I wanted, a friend who I could laugh with and even cry with, a true friend, a PS2.

The prospects of playing with such a good friend were too much to bare for me, so I was one of the lucky ones who rushed out to buy the console at 12am in the morning, I needed my new PS2 more than anything at that moment in time for it was suppose to bring me so much happiness with the great things it was going to bring me. This would not be like any normal friendship, I would keep loyal to the PS2, and it would keep loyal to me. But no, because you see, the PS2 is a sleigh old thing, and I shall explain further...and truly pull the sheets from over your eyes.

You see, the gaming world is not about Console vs Console, no, not at all, the machines are intelligent things, and there aim is not to beat each other, it’s to beat you. You’re its enemy, you’re not a friend, its you, us, me that are the playthings for the machines. They test your mind, make you do things they way they want you to. Did you ever wonder why the likes of E.E in MGS2 died? It wasn’t for the plot (not much anyway) its so that the PS2 made you feel guilty, it was your fault.

The consoles are not your friends, there here to make you feel bad, and give you frustration, you think your having a good time...when in fact your not.

Why do I say all this? You may think im a mad man, but im far from it, I have beaten this evil realm of bad goings on, I am a smart man.

You may say 'well what about Pro Evo? You enjoy playing that' In that case I reply that’s true, but what happens when the console feels cocky, and sends a pilldriver in the back of the net from 40 yards that had less power on it than an old lady blowing her birthday candles out. The game can turn on its head when the PS2 is in this mood, there is no way for you to control the game, and the PS2 can do what it likes.

And its the same with many other games, the console knows just when and how it can start to really get on your nerves, how many times have we seen on the likes of Final Fantasy that this boss is getting very weak, surely it must mean that we are close to the end.... but wait, no, it comes back with a magic move that looks enough to blow this world in two...and then you die. Its the same for any game, racing, soccer, RPG's, FPS, any of them, the PS2 can do what it wants when it wants and how it wants, and for me, its a conspiracy.

You see, after much thinking, I think that this has all been planned by one supreme group, Sony, and also I think the others have caught on into one big scam, to make you shell out more money. How many times have you shot to your feet after loosing that game that was so much in your favour, and you have just been cheated out and got killed? How many times has this been followed with you throwing the pad across the room? You see, by causing you frustration it causes you to do radical things, which in the end can nacker some of your PS2 goods, I have even see some people yank the disk out of the tray and snap it, and why do the companies want this to happen? Because you then have to replace it! And companies like SR love this too, thats why you never hear about this skam!

Yes, that’s right, there all in on it, the consoles cost you money, you buy them, buy stuff for them to make them look nicer, and then they even cost you more money for no proper reason after...rather like women!

And with that, I have beaten the fats heads at the top of the gaming chain, im onto them, and now so should you be.

So, what to do?

Stop fighting a lost battle.

The PS2 will always win, think some more, you finish a game luckily (maybe the console couldn’t be bothered that day) and then what? A new game comes along which you think you would like a pop at, and so the PS2 fight continues, you may by chance win again...but then a new one comes out...see the pattern?

My advice is to stop playing all together, don’t play at all, leave it, go outside for crying out loud! Look at this weather, you could be doing sports, walking, socialising. Why would you want to stay inside fighting with someone who was suppose to be your friend, stop fighting a loosing battle!

We must revolt!

E.E. died? Woah! You`re PS2 really does hate you!

Mine has occasional weird turns during DVDs. It`ll suddenly mess with your senses, mixing sound and picture at different speeds, and occasionally skips when it feels like a break. Apart from that though, its never killed a main character or anything!
