Before I start, I would just like to say that this is a jokey post which is not true, but could happen, maybe :o)

"GameCube announced at £135"

Little Jimmy was a Nintendo fan all his life, and only having £140 saved, he was absolutely delighted at this news. He was a little dissapointed with the £165 price, although he knew it was a very good price, the drop of the X-Box and the almost inevitable drop of the PS2, worried little Jimmy slightly.

But nevertheless his mother and father had pre-ordered a GameCube for him, at the price of £135 and seeing that the price was so low, they also bought him a game that he wanted, Super Monkey Ball. After a tense month of waiting..

"Knock Knock" at the door. It was May2nd and Little Jimmy was not expecting anything until tomorrow at least. It was a beautiful day, the sky was an amazing shade of blue, almost hypnotic. Little Jimmy was an active, sporty child, he liked to keep fit and play various sports, his favorite being football.

It was his GameCube and a shiny copy of Super Monkey Ball. Little Jimmy was ecstatic, he jumped around the room almost knocking himself out through lack of oxygen because he was so happy.

So, he carefully took off the packaging staring and studying every piece of the Nintendo magic, he treated it like gold. In he plugged the GameCube being very careful to set it all up correctly and not bend or snap any piece of his new temple. He unwrapped Super Monkey Ball, placed it very carefully into the GameCube, pushed the power button with such carefulness.

"Wow" said Jimmy, with his jaw open wide. Staring at the graphics, listening to the sweet sound. He adored his new console, he worshiped his GameCube. After what seamed like 10minutes playing Super Monkey Ball, was actually 4hours of gameplay. Little Jimmy stared at his watch "What??" He said, in amazement. "I have only just got the hang of the controls, and 4 hours have been passed?" Jimmy was gobsmacked. But, also pleased at the same time, he knew that Super Monkey Ball would be a huge game.

By this time, the night was drawing in and only being a small child, one can only have so much energy, and Little Jimmy's levels of energy were at an all time low. So, he dragged himself away from his beloved GameCube not saying good night to his mum and dad, he just went to bed, he didn't even brush his teeth! All he could think about was GameCube!

Now, some may call this obsessive, but, I call it, "Amazing" Anyway, Little Jimmy woke up, late, about 20minutes late, he rushed downstairs grabbing his bag, not eating any breakfast, just running to school. He arrived at school and was asked "Why didn't you come out last night" by his friends, Jimmy replied "GameCube arrived. I had to play it, I'll come out tonight" His attention span was rapidly shrinking, GameCube was taking over he forgot all the right books for his lessons, his homework, everything. He ran home, threw his bag into the house, somewhere. And played. GameCube GameCube GameCube GameCube GameCube. He played and played, he didn't even hear his friends knock at the door. This happened for the next year or so, when Jimmy started to grow up. His grades dropped, his social levels dropped, his health was slipping from him, his youth was going.

At the age of 18, Jimmy had turned to drugs, violent behavior and just being an all round rebel. He had been thrown out of his home, and was living at a mates, but GameCube was still main priority. GameCube had slowly eaten away at his life, and without him knowing, he could no longer escape the power of the GameCube. Jimmy then went on to become a very well paid games tester.

This, however, could not happen. Or could it?

Beware the power of the GameCube. "Life's a Game"

Didn't GameSpot vote that as one of the most disappointing games of the year?
