I haven't heard much news about it and i reckon it'll be pretty expensive, after all, they charge £30 for a little black plastic memory card. I'd say the price will be £60 minimum to £100.
What functions will the hard drive carry out. Obviously it'll save games, etc and i think it'll also do the thing you can do with the Xbox, which is copy songs off of CD's and then use those tunes as in-game music...pretty cool.

that is bad because X-box is the same price as a PS2 and it HAS a hard drive with it

Aswell as being able to do some of the thing the X-Box HD can do, the PS2 HD will also allow developers to put more stuff into their games. GTA3 for example, the developers would be able to put more cars and add more to the city. Its thing like that, which I'm excited about.
