PS2 network delay?

Sony reconfirms its plans for a late August network launch.

Despite reports suggesting that Sony had delayed the launch of its online network to mid-October, a representative from Sony told GameSpot that there is no delay and that the launch is still on track for late August. In March, Sony announced that it would launch its online network in August along with the PlayStation 2 Network Adapter, which will retail for $39.99. The adapter will support both broadband and narrow band connections, and PlayStation 2 owners who have preexisting online accounts will be able to use those accounts when logging on to Sony's network.
At launch, Sony will have a number of games that support online play, including SOCOM: Navy Seals and Twisted Metal Black Online. GameSpot will have more coverage on Sony's online network soon.
