I've found the answer. Apparently according to a guy on TV its RACIST to support St Georges day! Why? well apparently you are no longer English but British as being British supports all the Asians etc. But being English doesn't if you get my drift.
I have always thought of myself as English and I don't hate Asians or Immigrants from another country. Just because I am English it does not mean I will instantly join the BNP or beat up people with different coloured skin.
If this is the case why is Ireland allowed to support St Patrick's day? surely there are Asian people and Immigrants in Ireland.
St Georges day is part of our heritage and without it we are not supporting our country. So sit back have a Pint and be Proud to be English and NOT a racist (I absolutely hate racism)

Glad you agree. I also hung the cross of St George. But to been seen as Racist is just so PC (Politically correct) it's stupid.
It's like that guy on the census form it said the following.
Race: British
Other (Please specify)
He ticked other and wrote English in the space. He was Fined £110
I have nothing against the Irish, Scottish or Welsh it's just today is the day to celebrate being English and were not allowed.
What next not having the Jubilee because we have a queen and some other countries don't and we are being racist to them.
See when you have laws like that it can get stupid.
