Oof! Ocarina of Time will be remade for GameCube, and it's no joke! A director's cut of the first N64 Zelda title is on the cards!
Zelda fans, kneel on your Nintendo prayer mats and thank the Lord Miyamoto. According to a reputable Dutch gaming website, Nintendo are to remake Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the GameCube, complete with new areas, new dungeons, bonus features and even the ill-fated 64DD Ura Zelda expansion - it's a Zelda avalanche! The site translated a version of Japanese games bible Dengeki, in which an announcement detailing this 'director's cut' can be found.
Ninty boss Shigeru Miyamoto has spoken in the past of a desire to remake special editions of classic titles, using young, up-and-coming developers to train them, so that they may then go on to greatness. Here's what the special edition will contain:
Zelda Director's Cut
Ura Zelda's previously unreleased dungeons
Option for classic overworld or N64 theme
Option for enhanced graphics or original graphics
Making of movie
Music CD
Limited Edition includes map of Hyrule, pocket watch, art book and character figure
Whoohaa! If there's one thing we wholeheartedly agree with, it's the reworkings of classic titles on more powerful machines - Resident Evil has already wowed us, so just how good will this new/old Zelda be? Words fail me, even at this early stage. Stay tuned for more, and expect E3 to throw up some brand new surprises.
Can you believe this???
I think I've died and gone to heaven...
Something always has to ruin my happiness.
So i'm quite curious as to whether or not Nintendo will be creating this game.
But I did also hear that Nintendo have said that they want to redo some of their old games on Gamecube, so perhaps it is true!
:)
It was on Digitiser so it might be genuine after all.
It'll be nice to go through the adventure again, especially as we'll get the true ending now, with the 64DD bit and everything.
What more could we want????
Well, maybe a new adventure altogether! And there's one on the way!! :D
And there is a point in posting something like this, as it gives us all a chance to talk about it!
