Who didn't think Nintendo would drop their prices, eh?
I think it's safe to say that Nintendo's sexy little 'Cube is far more enticing than Microsoft's fat, black chunk of a console.
What a great day for Ninties!

Hur hur hur
I think the GC's absolutely gorgeous price drop is great, and will achieve much, Ant!
But thanks to other Ninties, I don't have to say anything, apart from: I can now get a GC and 2 GAMES for £215. Or a Gamecube, two controllers and a game for £190 thanks to SR!
The GC will absolutely whip bottom, I say.

I totally agree Ant :D
Although with the GC old price maybe some people would have gone gone for the £35 dearer Xbox. Gamecube needs to keep its price considerably lower than the PS2/X-box becasue they are seen as more than somtin which just plays games(DVD, Better Online plans)...While the Gamecube is seen as a pure Games machine.

You can already get a PS2 for £99 from Currys, BUT the catch is that you have to choose 5 games from the selection they offer - total price of around £298.
But there's someone on the PlayStation.com forums who *claims* to have a friend who works at Sony HQ, and he reckons the PS2 will be £149 from 1st May. But then anyone could say that.
At this rate I'm glad I have 15 reddies, soon I'll be able to use them to get a GC and a couple of games. ;-) Just kidding by the way, before I get a bunch of Ninty's screaming tears and kicking my ankles.
Thing is, all this trying to outprice eachother is certainly doing us consumers plenty of favours no matter what console you prefer. No doubt PS2 will have a price drop soon. I've heard the PS2 could be coming down to £99 soon.

20 Launch Titles aint bad :) And 50 promised by the summer!
