I certainly got bored of reading that rubbish in Nintendo Official Magazine, and on various discussion boards across the net. It was childish, pathetic, and basically got on my t**s! (metaphorilcally speaking).
So hath Nintendo Official Magazine realised the errors of their ways? Or have Nintendo just ordered those guys at Farringdon Lane to grow up and to stop degrading the status of Nintendo fans?
Well it appears so! The reviews look more professionally done, less brightly coloured pages and a professional new look. No more bright red text filling up three-quarters of the page just quoting a line from a paragraph of a review, and less of those double-page pictures that were used to make the magazine look thicker!
Ofcourse there is still some humour in the magazine. Otherwise it would be like playing Sega's 'Watch Paint Dry 4' or like reading 'Carp World' magazine. Even quality magazines like NGC magazine contain a degree of humour which makes the magazine a joy to read.
I was disappointed with the lack of a demo or DVD disc. If the official Playstation 2 magazine can include a monthly disc, why can't the official Nintendo magazine?
Anyway, back to Nintendo Official Magazine's new image. It's smarter, professional and is a pleasure to read. There aren't so many stupid 2-worded replies in the letters section (previously Club Mario) and they have removed the usage of lots and lots of pictures they so often used.
There is one letter that caught my eye though, and it is this by Ben Smith, Reading:
I'm a regular reader but one thing bugs me, and that's the usage of Dreampants and Greystation Poo. Will you be using these 'hilarious' nicknames in your new mag?
And the response by Nintendo Official Magazine was:
Are you tired of our comic gems? If you lot stop using them, so will we. Deal?
So lets hope the readers have the sense to shut up with those stupid nicknames, grow up, and allow Nintendo Official Magazine's new image to stay!

I wouldn't smash a Playstation, but i'd certainly take a sledgehammer to an Xbox!
Whoever was responsible for that review deserves a slap.
Nice to see they have "grown up" so to speak.

Still a lot of games scoring quite highly, lots of 8/10's, but hey, maybe they're just all good games?
Though they gave Driven an 8, when I heard it's crap.
