Put it this way.
Most of the games on the X-Box will be released on the PS2 or have already been released on the PS2.
If you want to play DVDs on your console you will have to shell out and extra thirty quid to make your X-Box able to do so.
If you have small hands the X-Box controller can sometimes be uncomfy, although there maybe a smaller oompa loompa friendly controller released.
X-Box games retail at £44.99, but can be found for £37.99-ish
PS2 games retail at £44.99, but can be found for £32.99+
On the PS2 you know that there will be decent titles released in the future. However on the X-Box the further ahead you go the harder it is to know if a top-title is being released.(I know I will get some flak for this comment)
Jak and Daxter won't ever be released on the X-Box(Sony made it)
and I wouldn't bother with State of Emergency, kinda crap.
Don't listen to your boyfriend(though the likelyhood of you listening to a total stranger on the internet is pretty slim), what are you? His beyatch?
Get a PS2.:oD
Not sure about the Sims though... I don't know how well that would work on a console. Isn't half the appeal that you can download skins, objects and things, and have expansion packs? If so, then if it is released on a console, the X-Box would be the better platform for it as it has a big hard drive.
Considering most good PS2 games are ported to Xbox u cant go wrong but who am i to make a decision for you its your choice afterall.
With both consoles now at the same price the decision has just been made harder!
