Right, I've had this game idea for quite some time, and have actually mentioned it a few times, but never typed it all up like this before, so here goes.
Well, we all know what a success the Tony Hawks games have been. So why not make a good alternative to the Hawksters boarding skills. And who is the perfect man (or plumber) for the job? Mario of course!
Mario has been in successful sport games since Mario Kart, and he must be getting a bit bored of golf, even Mario style golf can't stay exciting forever, and I'm sure Mario would appreciate something a bit more high adrenaline.
Skateboarding seems ideal. But not just any skateboarding. Mario Skateboarding. I'm sure we all remember the Koopa shell riding in Mario 64? Who could forget? So take that, add some 1080 style stunts, Mario enemies and bosses, plenty of crazy special powers and abilities to collect, and some Nintendo magic and I think we have a winner! You would ride an upturned Koopa shell with wheels attatched to the bottom, and could control a variety of characters... Maybe even Bowser, who'd have a big spiky shell! And instead of just Hawk style boarding for points and collecting items, you'd have attacks and there'd be eemies in each level so as well as grinding and tricking to victory you must beat the enemies and perhaps even rescue the princess!
*groans from crowd*
But once you rescue her you get to use her as a secret character!

Of course all the Mazza gang would be in there... Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Toad, and a host of unlockable characters! Can you imagine grinding the battlements of Bowsers castle? Pulling off crazy tricks to build up a special meter that, instead of letting you pull off better tricks would let you unleash insane special attacks on foes and bosses! I think this would be an awesome title! Nintendo could really pull something like this off! They have had experiance with 1080, and it could be an awesome multiplay game too, imagine Tony Hawks merged with Mario Kart!!!

That'd be hilarious! Bowsers slow but extremely powerful army of spiky Koopas, Mario leading an army of plumbers, Peach with fast and manouverable Toads... and I'm sure we could come up with other teams! The Kongs would rock as a team!!! he he... I think Ninty really should create a Mario game for every sport!!! :D

Maybe their could also be the Mushroom Kingdom Olympics. And Mario can use all his triple jumping talents to win the Gold Cup. And Bowser could be his main rival, cheating all the way.
