CVG magazine is looking for a young, talented writer whose gaming skills and knowledge of videogames are second to none.
You should be...
A dedicated gamer who forks out for the latest machines as soon as they're released, but has probably seen most stuff on import already. You finish every game you buy, then play it through again just in case you missed something
Someone who can write. You've got some kind of recognised Journalism or English degree under your belt but you don't want to write boring, stuffy articles for local newspapers – the challenge of writing entertaining, informative copy for a consumer mag is much more exciting
Willing to learn and work hard. We don't want a know-it-all who reckons they're God's gift to humankind (looks like you're out, Stryke)
You'll need to fit in neatly with CVG's team of experts, and be eager to jump whenever they say so
In return you get the ultimate job – to work on the world's first and best videogames magazine AND play games all day (when you're not writing about them).
NOTE: You must be over 18 years of age and eligible to work in the UK to apply for the above position.
If what you've just read describes you to a tee, send a sample review (300 words on the last game you bought, written in the style of CVG mag) and a copy of your CV to: Alex Simmons, Editor, CVG, Dennis Publishing, 30 Cleveland Street, London, W1T 4JD,. Alternatively send an email marked 'CVG writer's vacancy' to [email protected]. Closing date May 15, 2002
