Recently i was playing on Mario Party 3, trying to while away the hours until the release of the gamecube. And just thinkning about the format of the game, i thought that it couldn't be that hard to put onto the GBA.

The graphics aren't fantastic and in my opinion the GBA would easily be able to handle all of the boards and games. As Mario Party is mainly a multiplayer game, the 4 way link up would be great for this type of game. Having 4 different screens would also eliminate the need for split-screen which would improve the mini-games in general.

On another note, if Mario Party was released on the Gamecube, i think it would be great to be able to design your own game boards. This would definitly improve the lifespan of the game by a long way, as in my eyes, the last 3 MP games have been pretty short and playing the same maps over and over again certainly does get boring.

Another idea if MP does come to the Gamecube is to give each character their own special ability, like the partners in duel mode on MP3. This would make for some interesting gaming. A few examples could be...

Mario- Occasionally, he gets 2 dice blocks instead of 1.
Luigi- Has an unlimited supply of skeleton keys.
DK- could knock other players off the space he's on.
Yoshi- if a certain number is rolled he gets 5 coins.

I think these would make the game more exciting, and make choosing the right character to match your opponent a skill you would have to learn.

Finally a couple of suggestions for mini-games. A SSB style fighting game, could be a secret mini-game. Bring back the old control stick spinning games, i know they could burn you (literally) but they were the best games.
