The christmas season is only a few months away and the gaming industy is about to hit the biggest BOOM of them all,this is all down to the Dreamcast.People have been saying that the sales have been dissapointing,this makes no sense when you consider the fact that it ezxcelled the target set by Sega which was a million in Europe,and this was without the major games that will be released on the console.People consider this if you will,the most amazing game of all time is set to be released on the 1st December and that is Shenmue,in case you have not heard of it ,it is possibly the best looking game ever and will set a new standard in video gaming excellence,then there is the best First Person shoot um up which is Half Life,then there is 2 of the best online multiplayer games on the way,they are Quake 3 and Unreal Tournemet,but where would a console be without its racing games......Well it has the best there as well,for instance the soon to be released Ferrari F355 Challange looks so good it makes Gran Turismo 2000 look like outrun,then there is the Gran Turismo wannabe Sega Gt which boasts sweeeeet graphics and loads of cars and who could forget the best racing game the world has ever seen which is Metropolis Street Racer,it has increadible graphics and beautiful cars......a classic.Finnally there is Jet Set Radio,the groviest game this side of the universe,where you are a member of a gang and you have to spray your tag on publis property while you are on skates,Plus there many more which match this quality,and all this before Christmas you lot better start praying because your wallet is going to feel awfully light this festive Season
In fact there are over 50 new titles to hit the shelves b4 Xmas all released on DC bringing the DC inventory up to a very nice 159 games - and when Bleem! finally is released there'll be no reason to hang on to your Playstation as all the games for this format can be played on Dreamcast - I know they can be played on Playstation 2 - but the graphics are not improved on PS2 but on Dreamcast Bleem actually makes the graphics more acceptable.
GT is right - Shenmue will be the best game the world has ever seen and it cost $70million to make - it really is unlike ANYTHIN you'll have played before - it is a whole new experience in which you ARE Ryu and wish to take revenge on the murders of his father. The game is based in the 80s and you can do ANYTHING you like - talk to people, buy a Coca Cola, and play on your Saturn in your flat - which you rent from an old Lady who pays you for staying there. Also, in the game, you can get a job, go down the arcades and play classics like out run and space harrier.
The game will be absolutely amazing and I expect you all to be saving NOW!!! ( whereas I won the game so i needn't bother)
Also, JSR Jet Set radio will be HUGE - it is actually described by a vast array of magazines and Gaming Gurus as the Most innovative and original title Sega have ever made - That's really saying something - believe me.
Also, don't forget all the amazing racing games like MSR and Ferrari F355 (and Sega GT) they will be the genre leaders - so check 'em out at the NEC motorshow as they will be there from the 17th of this month.
